Round 1 Late winter

Pre-Emergent and Weed Control

A pre-emergent barrier stops crabgrass and other summer weeds before they germinate, while winter weeds already growing are treated on contact.

Why it matters. The best weed is the one that never appears. Timing this round before the soil warms sets up a clean season.

Round 2 Early spring

Pre-Emergent and Weed Control

A second pre-emergent application extends the barrier through the full germination window, with targeted weed control.

Why it matters. A single application fades before germination season ends. The second keeps protection unbroken.

Round 3 Late spring

Broadleaf Weed Control and Liquid Fertilizer

Targets dandelions, clover and other broadleaf weeds while liquid fertilizer feeds the turf as it greens up.

Why it matters. Broadleaf weeds peak as temperatures climb. Feeding at the same time helps the grass fill in where weeds once stood.

Round 4 Early summer

Granular Fertilizer

Weed control as needed

Slow-release granular feeding for deep, even color, with spot weed control wherever it is needed.

Why it matters. Steady nutrition through the heat keeps the lawn dense, and a dense lawn crowds out weeds on its own.

Round 5 Late summer

Granular Fertilizer

Weed control as needed

Continued granular feeding carries the lawn through late summer stress, with weed control as needed.

Why it matters. Memphis heat drains a lawn. This round keeps it strong heading into fall.

Round 6 Early fall

Fall Pre-Emergent and Weed Control

A fall pre-emergent barrier stops annual bluegrass, chickweed and other winter weeds before they sprout.

Why it matters. Winter weeds germinate as the nights cool. Stopping them now keeps the lawn clean all winter.

Round 7 Late fall

Fall Pre-Emergent and Weed Control

The final application of the year reinforces the fall barrier and treats any weeds that slipped through.

Why it matters. It sets the stage for a clean spring, so next year's program begins a step ahead.
