Fall Aeration and Overseeding

Opens the soil, then spreads new seed so a thin lawn grows back full.

What it is

This service pairs core aeration with overseeding. The lawn is aerated first, then new seed is spread so it can settle into the openings and make direct contact with the soil.

Fall is the preferred season for seeding cool-season grasses such as Tall Fescue, because cooler air and warm soil help new seed establish.

Why it is commonly used

  • To thicken thin or patchy areas.
  • To fill in turf lost to summer heat, disease or insects.
  • To build a denser lawn that naturally crowds out weeds.

Signs it may be time

  • Thin or bare spots after summer
  • Visible soil between grass plants
  • A Tall Fescue lawn that has lost density
