Grub Control

Stops beetle larvae from feeding on the roots beneath your lawn.

What it is

Grubs are the C-shaped larvae of beetles, including Japanese beetles and June beetles. They live just below the surface and feed on grass roots.

Grub control treats the soil so the larvae are stopped before they destroy the root system.

Why it is commonly used

  • To protect roots, which the lawn depends on for water and nutrients.
  • To prevent patches of turf from dying and lifting away from the soil.
  • To reduce digging by animals such as moles, skunks and raccoons that hunt for grubs.

Signs it may be time

  • Brown patches where the turf peels back like a loose carpet
  • Spongy ground underfoot
  • Animals digging in the lawn
